Privacy Policy

DueLens is built around a simple privacy promise: your deadlines and source documents stay on your device in the MVP. This policy explains the data handled by the app and the controls available to you.
What DueLens processes
DueLens processes the information you choose to provide: deadline fields, short source previews, optional images or documents, reminder settings, preferences, and answers you voluntarily confirm about completed deadlines.
Local storage and extraction
Deadline records are stored in the app’s local SQLite database. Imported files are copied to the app’s private document directory. OCR and deadline extraction run on the device through Apple Vision or bundled Google ML Kit. DueLens does not upload source content or extracted text to us.
No account, advertising, or tracking
The MVP does not require registration and has no DueLens backend, cloud AI, advertising SDK, or third-party analytics. The analytics interface is a local no-op. We do not sell personal data because we do not collect it from the app.
Permissions
DueLens requests permissions only when you use a related feature. These may include notifications, camera or selected media access, biometric authentication, and user-initiated sharing. Denying an optional permission does not prevent you from managing deadlines manually.
Notifications and system services
Reminders are scheduled through the operating system. If you export an item to a system calendar or share a backup, the destination service is governed by its own privacy practices. DueLens does not silently send data to those services.
Backups, exports, and retention
Data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, erase all local data, or uninstall the app. User-created JSON backups and CSV exports leave the app only through a destination you select. Backup files may contain deadline fields and source preview text and should be stored securely.
Children
DueLens is a general productivity utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
